I've belonged to this group since I started being an active subscriber here (just about a year ago, although I was an inactive member for a year before that). The numbers have shrunk and some well-established Ultra Fractal artists have not renewed this membership. The Ultra-Fractal membership has been revised to reflect those who, despite being continued watchers, are currently active in retaining their membership.

(Not that the latter isn't the case with UF of course, yet there are huge differences in what we get to see - and believe me, I recognise the fractal work of a beginner in UF when I see one). But I do have issues with the repetitive nature of the inevitable outcome of various scripts being shared, let alone the fact that anyone beginning this program will inevitably go through similar processes which are both predictable and often extremely boring to have to look at. Apophysis.įirstly, I have nothing against Apophysis per se. I am saddened on two counts at what I've observed with regards the Ultra Fractal community as a whole, and also at what seems to prevail as favourite throughout dA over and above the use of this wonderful UF program. I hope you'll like this resource.This is a project that I've started of my own volition, and I intend to follow this article up with some showcasing in the near future.

Most textures have some very basic parameter changes, that create interesting effects nevertheless. Watch out for interesting shapes that may add something to your fractals. Effects range from glassy looks to checkerboard tiles, from triangle shapes to rainfall textures. Bonus patterns: includes textures made with various colouring algorithms and mappings mixed together. They're split into two sub-groups: glyph textures, made with a glyph formula, and dynamic hypercomplex textures, made with the Dynamic Hypercomplex formula. Most of them clearly recall gnarl patterns others use gnarls as a base to develop more interesting shapes. Gnarl textures: includes textures made with gnarl, or gnarl-like formulas. May not work with Ultra Fractal prior to version 5, as the classes system is used to make such textures. They're mostly soft and smooth, good for making clouds, shaded areas, or marbles. Texture OCA textures: includes textures made with the Texture colouring algorithm. Warning: these groups are quite slow loading, especially the "turbulent" one. They're split into three sub-groups: one is for cloud, sand, rock and pebble-like textures another one is filigree and embossed textures lastly, the "turbulent" group includes more realistic terrain textures and a few other slopes.

SFBMII textures: includes textures made with SFBMII. Four main types of textures are included, and they are as follows: For convenience, I split them into eight parameter sets, so that your UF doesn't crash upon loading each group. These textures come in different looks and aspects.
